ANTARESIA:

Antaresia childreni & Antaresia maculata

The Children's python (childreni) are an Australian species and one of the smallest pythons in the world. This snake averages in at about 2.5 feet in length. This python is also called the faded python. As babies, the Children's pythons have dark brown blotches on a light background. In older adults this pattern fades away and they become almost patternless.

The spotted python (maculosa), is the largest member of the genus Antaresia. The species usually obtains lengths of 3-4 feet. Spotted pythons are the most common species in captivity of all the genus Antaresia. It is one of the easiest pythons to maintain, and is very docile. This species also has a granite morph, which is simple recessive, and really unique!
